In August last year, GREE entered a partnership with NCsoft under which the Korean company would release a social version of Lineage, its popular MMORPG, on the GREE platform.
Fast forward to today, and players in Japan can now pre-register for Lineage – The Second Moon, the first mobile social game in the 15-year old franchise.
GREE says that The Second Moon will be set in the “world of Lineage” but have an original story.
In the game, players take on the role of a ruler of a small country and will need to collect character cards to assemble a strong party, go out on quests with other GREE users, fortify weapons and strengthen skills by enchanting them (just like in the PC version), etc.

Lineage – The Second Moon will hit GREE on iOS and Android sometime in spring this year – in Japanese only.
