I today joined the advisory board of Startup Dating, a Tokyo-based startup community project that was launched last year and intends to connect people in the local IT scene through regular networking events.
Startup Dating’s basic idea is to help entrepreneurs with a technical background find those with a background in business and other areas (and vice versa). Apart from networking, the events usually offer panel discussions and presentations involving entrepreneurs “who already made it” and hopefuls alike.
You can register for the next event on the 28th, where entrepreneurs from six different countries will speak at KDDI Web Communications HQ in Tokyo, here (English/Japanese).
Startup Dating is currently in the process of expanding to other markets in Asia: please contact me (totoserkan AT gmail.com) if you need more information or think about sponsoring Startup Dating in Japan or elsewhere.
