Mixi caused a splash last month, when it announced its decision to change its role from a “pure” social network provider to social network and social game provider (at least to some extent). It chose CyberAgent as a partner in a joint venture that will exclusively produce social apps for Mixi.
The joint venture is dubbed “Grenge” and will be run as a separate company. And over the weekend, Grenge finally launched its official website.
There’s nothing much to see on the site at this point, but it’s now clear that Shinya Kinoshita, a CyberAgent employee, will lead the joint venture (Mixi owns just 49% of Grenge).
