Right after announcing a new studio, GREE (3632) proper announced a new title for the Japanese market today, “Lost Land Tactics”.
In the strategy sim, players join guilds and battle each other in quests and s0-called “raid battles”.
GREE says that the main selling point of the game is the so-called “Live Online Strategy Turn Battle” system: according to the company, Lost Land Tactics may be the first title ever to allow players to fight each others in groups of ten, in real-time using a turn-based battle system on a map.
The goal is to place characters with different “jobs” (swordsman, magician, lancer, etc.) and varying skills and ranges of attack on the map “strategically” to defeat the enemy.
Lost Land Tactics will be released in Japan on smartphones and, surprisingly, on feature phones this summer. GREE hasn’t announced anything yet about a possible international release.
