It took a long time, but months after DeNA announced it has secured the talent of high-profile game maker Goichi Suda (aka Suda51), the first title is finally out.
Available for Mobage on Android and in Japanese only, No More Heroes – World Ranker is marketed as a “social assassin battle game”. In fact, Suda51 last year said he is planning to make the “bloodiest social game” ever.
Truth be told, I haven’t seen much blood so far, but I only played the title for an hour or so (and there’s a possibility DeNA objected). It’s fun, fast-paced, and “stylish”, however – something I can’t say too often about social games.
Suda51’s company Grasshopper Manufacture is currently working on an iOS version. A No More Heroes – World Ranker in English (and possibly more violence) should be following soon.
