Here’s quite an unusual tie-up for a social game maker: DeNA today announced they partnered up with major online restaurant guide service Gourmet Navigator (Gurunavi) to promote usage of a social restaurant management game on Mobage.
Under the campaign, players of “Bistro World” can collect virtual in-game dishes by waving their e-wallet-equipped feature phones over terminals installed by Gurunavi in about 3,000 physical restaurants all over Japan.
The catch is that players of Bistro World, a game co-developed by DeNA and Osaka-based Istpika, can get limited editions of dishes to serve to other Mobage users that way. The so-called “Gurunavi New Touch” terminals (which you can see below) are normally used by Gourmet Navigator customers to download e-coupons to their phones.
The campaign runs from tomorrow through September 28 this year.
