Digital Garage subsidiary Wheel has announced a new Twitter application for Android phones distributed through NTT Docomo, Japan’s biggest mobile carrier: Share@ lets users share “decorated movies” with followers on Twitter.
The app basically turns still images into movies and makes it possible to add “content” like icons, emoji, text, background music etc. to make the clips more personal. Once the movie is ready, users can tweet the URL under which it’s stored out: followers then just need to click the link in order to get the movie streamed to their PC, smartphone or iPad.
The service is being monetized by selling special content through an in-app store (Share@ comes with free content, too). Users can pay via their Docomo cell phone bill.
Share@ is exclusively available through NTT Docomo’s Android market.
