Online restaurant service operator Gourmet Navigator has launched a marketing company that helps promote farm products in Japan, The Nikkei is reporting today.
The plan is to work together with growers, local governments and others to organize events, advertise and market produce. Gourmet Navigator will also offer consulting services, for example regarding pricing and distribution.
As Gourmet Navigator has relations with around 50,000 restaurants all over Japan, it will make 1,000 employees of its sales force cross-promote the new marketing company’s offerings.
