Earlier this month, DeNA and CyberAgent announced the launch of an ad network specifically for the smartphone versions of Mobage (DeNA’s mobile social game platform) and Ameba (CyberAgent’s blogging and social networking platform).
The joint venture, which is 51% owned by CyberAgent and 49% by DeNA, is named AMoAd, based in Tokyo and staffed with 10 people initially.
As I reported, the company will start with sales and marketing activities next month before serving ads to Mobage and Ameba smartphone users in June.
DeNA and CyberAgent are following GREE, which acquired Tokyo-based ad startup Atlantis back in January.
