DeNA and GMO Internet Group have announced the launch of a cloud computing service aimed at Japan-based social game developers that want to bring their games to international markets, especially the US.
Both companies have started offering a similar service for the Japanese market as early as October 2010, but this spring, GMO will open data centers in the US.
DeNA says that the new service gives developers the chance to bring their games to Mobage players in the US without worrying about response times from servers and that existing customers don’t need to make big changes to their existing contracts (language, currencies, payment etc.).
