DeNA has announced something unusual yesterday: the social games company plans to hire between 50 to 100 employees coming from areas in Japan that were hit by the big earthquake from March 11. DeNA’s motivation is to do their part in supporting the victims of the disaster, following their 100 million Yen donation on March 13.
In a first “wave”, 20 people will be recruited for DeNA’s customer service division in Niigata City in Western Japan and can start working as early as next month (those 20 positions will be open to people currently living in shelters in Niigata).
DeNA says that following that, they will consider to hire more disaster victims for other positions and in other regions.
