Nico Nico Douga or YouTube Japan? Major Japanese tech news outlet ITmedia updated its site again with new market data that helps to understand what video sites are the most popular in the country.
The new numbers from Tokyo-based research firm Video Research Interactive highlight that in Japan, YouTube is still way ahead of Nico Nico Video in terms of page views and unique users. Users of Dwango’s home-grown video service, however, spend more time on the site than on YouTube.
