Just a small note, but it was worth a press release for Kakaku and shows that Facebook is becoming more and more relevant for e-commerce companies in Japan: Kakaku now has a fan page on Facebook.
So far, not even 200 people have pushed the “like” button and the news feed just shows some Kakaku-related news releases, but that could change soon. On their price comparison site, Kakaku shows a Facebook “like” button on every single product page by the way.
Rakuten’s official page on Facebook has more than 11,000 fans, which probably makes it the biggest of its kind for a Japanese e-commerce company.
