The biggest hit title on DeNA’s social gaming platform Mobage-town (Mobage) is Kaitou Royal. It’s rumored that this one game accounts for a big chunk of DeNA’s revenue and profits.
Now TechCrunch Japan editor Ryuichi Nishida is reporting on Twitter that Takeshi Otsuka, the master mind behind the Mafia Wars-like game, is leaving DeNA’s Tokyo HQ to join DeNA Global in the US.
Letting its star game creator go is quite a big decision by DeNA and shows that the company is serious about getting its US business into shape.
